The Frisco Independent School District (Frisco ISD) announced the schedule for its Class of 2024 graduation ceremonies. This year's events, slated for May 17-19 at the Ford Center, will notably include seniors from Panther Creek and Emerson high schools for the first time.

"Seniors are solidifying their post-high school educational goals, planning to attend colleges and universities in Texas and across the country," said Frisco ISD in a statement. "Some will attend military academies; others will expand their career skills at technical schools. Wherever they land, Frisco ISD is proud to celebrate their accomplishments."

According to the announcement, tickets for admission into the Ford Center will be distributed to graduating seniors by each school. The students and their families will require these tickets to gain entry. The ceremonies will be recorded and made available for live online viewing or subsequent viewing after the ceremonies.

The livestream link is set to be posted on the Frisco ISD Graduation webpage prior to the ceremonies.

The announcement further details that the ceremony schedule commences on May 17 with graduates from Wakeland High (5:30 p.m.) and Lebanon Trail High School (8:30 p.m.). On May 18, ceremonies are planned for Reedy High School (8 a.m.), Frisco High School (11 a.m.), Liberty High School (2 p.m.), Memorial High School (5 p.m.), and Independence High School (8 p.m.). Ceremonies for seniors from Heritage High School (8 a.m.), Lone Star High School (11 a.m.), Centennial High School (2 p.m.), Emerson High School (5 p.m.), and Panther Creek High School (8 p.m.) are scheduled for May 19.

Graduates from Wakeland and Lebanon Trail will travel directly from their schools to the Ford Center as per the announcement.

Frisco ISD serves a rapidly growing population in one of the fastest-growing cities in the United States. The school district operates 72 campuses, including elementary, middle, and high schools, as well as special education and alternative education facilities. It employs approximately 9,000 staff members and serves over 70,000 students in grades pre-K through 12.

Frisco ISD Superintendent Mike R. Waldrip is one of five Collin County public school superintendents with an annual salary of at least $300,000. Waldrip's $349,200 salary is 510% more than the average Texas salary, as reported by Forbes
