Frisco Independent School District (FISD) baseball players have been recognized with All-District honors in the 11-5A, 12-5A, and 10-4A districts. The selections were determined by the coaches of each district’s teams.
Jorge Villareal from Frisco received the Most Valuable Player award. Tysen Wilson from Independence was named Offensive Player of the Year, while Ryder Rebel from Heritage and Max Myhre from Liberty shared Defensive Players of the Year honors. Griffin Jenkins of Liberty was recognized as Newcomer of the Year. Jacob Finseth from Memorial took home Utility Player of the Year, Dylan Belyea from Memorial was named Pitcher of the Year, and Owen Watson from Frisco was awarded Reliever of the Year. The Coaching Staff of the Year accolade went to Frisco.
The first team included several standout players: Caleb Carter and Dominic Floyd from Frisco; Finley Hambrick and Cooper Hebert from Emerson; Parker Davis and Brock Maroney from Independence; Jackson McKey from Lebanon Trail; Juan Salcedo also representing Emerson; Zach Goldberg and Samuel Baker both hailing from Lebanon Trail; among others.
On the second team, notable mentions include John Caldwell from Centennial; Brady Jacobson representing Heritage; Parker Bockoven and Brendan Freeman both playing for Emerson; Gannon Whisenant and Blake Russo representing Independence; Ben Pierce along with Nathan Wixon hailing from Liberty.
In a separate district recognition, Gavin Barker from Reedy earned MVP honors in his category. Zeke Alexander of Wakeland was acknowledged as Pitcher of the Year. Tripp Mattison represented Highland Park as Reliever of the Year, with Cole Flashnick also earning recognition as Offensive Player of the Year for Highland Park.
For Panther Creek-specific selections, Kai Richmond shared Co-Pitcher of the Year honors. The first team featured Cayd Miller, Graylyn Fry, Caiden Kelly among others showcasing talent at various positions including outfielders like Cameron Flashnick who made it to Panther Creek’s second team selection.
