The Frisco Independent School District (ISD) Board of Trustees has approved the District Improvement Plan for the 2025-26 academic year. This plan, developed through months of feedback and workshops, outlines strategic goals intended to guide the district’s work over the next year.

The District Improvement Plan is part of Frisco ISD’s Dynamic Organizational Strategy, which emphasizes ongoing strategic change and continuous improvement rather than a long-term strategic plan.

The goals for 2025-26 include expanding positive behavior interventions and disciplinary measures to reinforce shared behavioral commitments among staff, students, and parents. There is also a focus on reducing negative behaviors and strengthening interpersonal relationships. Additionally, the district aims to broaden access to learning opportunities that align with the needs of students, families, and the future workforce.

Another goal is to attract new students by increasing opportunities available both within and outside the Frisco ISD community. Improving student performance through enhanced instruction, balanced assessment practices, and data-driven decision-making is also prioritized. Strengthening stakeholder trust through improved emergency response and crisis communication protocols is another key objective.

Public feedback plays a crucial role in shaping Frisco ISD’s decisions. The 2025-26 strategic goals reflect input from various stakeholder groups such as the District Advisory Council, campus leadership teams, teacher focus groups, and the broader community.

District leadership will spend the summer developing action plans for each goal. These plans will be presented to the Board in a workshop during the fall. Meanwhile, individual campuses are creating their own improvement plans based on local feedback. The Board will review these campus improvement plans in September.

Throughout the year, periodic progress monitoring will take place under Frisco ISD’s local accountability system. This system measures continuous improvement efforts in line with the Future-Ready Framework.

A report on the outcomes of Frisco ISD’s 2024-25 goals will be included in the 2024-25 District Accountability Report set for release in September.
