Frisco Independent School District athletes participated in the UIL Cross Country Championships held in Round Rock on October 31 and November 1. The district was represented in both Class 5A and 4A competitions, with notable performances from team and individual runners.
The Wakeland High School girls’ team placed sixth overall in the Class 5A standings, while the boys’ team from Wakeland finished eighth. The Reedy High School girls’ team took 13th place. Lebanon Trail’s Andrew Malan achieved the highest individual placement among Frisco ISD competitors, securing seventh place in the 5A boys race at Old Settlers Park.
Wakeland’s Lily Schmidt finished 14th in the girls’ race, and her teammate Bradley Vacek came in 24th in the boys’ event.
Other top-100 finishers from Frisco ISD included Sophia Altieri (40th), Presley Robertson (46th), Caelan Chan (65th), Blake Moon (65th), Dylan Grzywinski (63rd), Caitlin Ruback (68th), Julia Seelman (49th), Lainey O’Connor (51st), Natalie Fehlig (93rd), Grace Harris (98th), Alex Roeren (40th), Parker Cathey (45th), Luke Rugg of Panther Creek representing Class 4A (53rd) and Adam Lane (88th).
