Rep. Keith Self, a U.S. Congressman who won his seat in both the 2022 and 2024 general elections against Sandeep Srivastava, posted a series of tweets on September 9, 2025, addressing topics including border security, job growth under the Biden administration, and provisions in the National Defense Authorization Act.

In his first post at 18:15 UTC, Rep. Self wrote: “Historic. President Trump, all of America thanks you for securing our border and protecting our communities!”

Later that evening at 21:21 UTC, he commented on economic policy with the statement: “The so-called “job growth” under the Biden administration was pure malarkey!”

At 22:51 UTC on the same day, Rep. Self raised concerns about language in recent legislation by stating: “Buried in section 1110 of the National Defense Authorization Act is language blocking implementation of President Trump’s Executive Order 14251, which prevents radical union bosses from having leverage over our national defense.”

Rep. Keith Self has demonstrated consistent electoral success in Texas’s congressional races; he defeated Sandeep Srivastava with approximately 60% of the vote in both the 2022 and 2024 general elections.
