Keresa Richardson, a Republican elected in 2025 to represent Texas’s 61st House district, has recently shared her positions on legislative actions and party discipline through a series of posts on her social media account.
On August 25, 2025, Richardson expressed dissatisfaction with the outcome of a motion aimed at penalizing Democratic lawmakers who left the state. She stated, “I am extremely disappointed that our Motion 2 to censure the democrats who fled the state has failed. That motion would have removed the seniority ranking, stripped the chairman/vice chairman positions, and reduced the budget of those members. I voted to censure. Sadly, 27 of my”.
The following day, August 26, she posted a brief message referencing ongoing legislative efforts: “Let’s do it. #txlege”.
Later that same day, Richardson commented on House Bill 12 and its implications for election law enforcement in Texas. She wrote, “Today, I supported HB 12, empowering the Attorney General to tackle election law violations. District Attorneys funded by Soros should not be permitted to ignore election-related crimes. #txlege #hd61”.
Richardson assumed office after being elected in 2025 to replace Frederick Frazier as representative for Texas’s 61st House district.
