Rep. Keith Self, a member of the U.S. House of Representatives, recently posted a series of statements on social media addressing issues ranging from immigration policy to national debt and support for law enforcement.

On September 3, 2025, Self criticized a judicial decision regarding migrant families, writing, “A Biden-appointed judge is refusing to allow migrant children to be sent back home to their parents. Hmm…I thought Democrats were against separating migrant families? “

The following day, on September 4, 2025, he commented on the federal budget situation: “In just 25 years, the U.S. national debt jumped from $5.6 trillion to over $37 trillion. Our fiscal house is in ruins. We must do better. We have to do better.”

Later that same day, Self expressed support for former President Donald Trump and immigration enforcement agents with another post: “Texans stand with President Trump and our brave ICE agents. “

Keith Self was re-elected in 2024 after defeating Sandeep Srivastava by securing approximately 62.5% of the vote compared to Srivastava’s 37.6%. In the previous general election in 2022, Self also defeated Srivastava with about 60.5% of the vote.
