Rep. Keith Self, a U.S. Congressman who won re-election in both 2022 and 2024 against Sandeep Srivastava, posted a series of statements on his official X (formerly Twitter) account on October 14, 2025, addressing topics ranging from political opposition to space exploration and military funding.

In his first post of the day, Self questioned critics he referred to as the “Hate America crowd,” writing, “Still waiting for an answer on this from the Hate America crowd… “ (October 14, 2025).

Later, Self congratulated SpaceX and Elon Musk on a recent achievement, stating, “The largest, most powerful rocket launching from right here in the Lone Star State. Congrats to @SpaceX and @elonmusk on the success.” (October 14, 2025).

In a subsequent message posted that evening, Self thanked former President Donald Trump for actions related to military pay during a government shutdown. He wrote, “Thank you, President Trump, for ensuring our troops are paid despite the Schumer Shutdown. It is disturbing that Democrats are willing to use our service members are pawns for their radical agenda.” (October 14, 2025).

Self represents his district after winning consecutive elections against Sandeep Srivastava—securing victory in 2022 with approximately 60.5% of the vote and again in 2024 with about 62.5% of the vote.
