Rep. Keith Self, U.S. Congressman from Texas, shared a series of posts on August 28, 2025, highlighting his recent activities and policy positions. The tweets covered local engagement in McKinney, support for anti-antisemitism efforts in Texas, and foreign policy views regarding Iran.

In his first post at 13:58 UTC, Self described a visit to a local nature facility: “I had a great experience touring the Heard Natural Science Museum and Wildlife Sanctuary in McKinney! This 289-acre native Texas habitat is home to a wide variety of wildlife, including birds, turtles, deer, and more. The sanctuary features 6.5 miles of scenic walking trails,” he wrote.

Later that day at 14:36 UTC, Self expressed appreciation for another Texas official’s stance against antisemitism: “Thank you @KenPaxtonTX! This has been a priority for @RepPatFallon and myself. We must stand firm in the fight against antisemitism.”

In an evening post at 20:57 UTC, Self commented on international affairs: “I applaud the E3—Germany, France, and Great Britain—for its ‘snapback’ of the pre-2015 nuclear deal sanctions against Iran. The United States and its closest allies must remain united against Iran’s global support for terrorism and nuclear blackmail.”

Self was elected to Congress after defeating Sandeep Srivastava in both the 2022 and 2024 general elections. In 2024, he won with 62.5% of the vote compared to Srivastava’s 37.6%. In the previous cycle in 2022, Self secured victory with 60.5% over Srivastava’s 36.9%.
