Senator Angela Paxton, a Republican representing Texas’s 8th Senate district since 2019, shared updates on recent community engagements and events in North Texas through a series of posts on her social media account.
On October 16, 2025, Paxton highlighted her participation in a local development project, stating, “What an exciting day in Plano! I joined community leaders and developers for the groundbreaking of the new Miyako Hybrid Hotel. This beautiful project blends Japanese tradition with Texas hospitality and reflects the global spirit that makes North Texas so special.”
The following day, she announced an upcoming podcast appearance: “COMING SOON: I joined Jay Odom in Rockwall to record a new episode of his podcast. I’ll share it here when it is released. Stay tuned!” (October 17, 2025).
Also on October 17, Paxton reflected on attending a community event focused on mothers’ roles in society: “I enjoyed attending the Mom’s for America Spark of Light event in Frisco last night. Moms really do run the world!”
Paxton was elected to the Texas State Senate in 2019 after replacing Van Taylor as representative for District 8.
