Senator Angela Paxton, a Republican representing Texas’s 8th Senate district since 2019, shared several updates on her social media accounts regarding recent recognitions and Veterans Day observances.
On November 10, 2025, Paxton announced her receipt of an award from Texas Values. She wrote, “I was honored to be named the 2025 Defender of Parental Rights by @txvalues at their Faith, Family & Freedom Gala over the weekend. Thank you to Texas Values and to everyone who worked alonside me to pass such important legislation this session. It is a great blessing to serve”.
The following day, Paxton marked Veterans Day with two posts. In one message dated November 11, 2025, she reflected on her family’s military service: “Today we pause to honor all who served, past and present. In our own family, our oldest daughter, all three of our sons-in-law, my father-in-law, and several other family members all answered the call. Your devotion to duty reminds us that freedom is never free. Thank you “.
In another post later that morning on November 11, Paxton provided information for veterans seeking recognition from local businesses: ” To our Veterans: many businesses are offering special discounts and free meals today as a small token of appreciation. You can find a list here:
