Senator Angela Paxton, a Republican representing Texas’s 8th Senate district since 2019, shared updates on her official X account regarding her recent legislative and community activities.
On November 13, 2025, Paxton announced the inaugural meeting of a legislative committee focused on campus speech issues. Later that day, Paxton described her participation in a Veterans Day event organized by the National Auto Body Council (NABC) at Texas Collision Centers in Plano. In another post that same evening, Paxton highlighted her membership in a support organization for military families. She stated, “I am a member of the Blue Star Mothers – Lone Star TX 6 Chapter. Blue Star Mothers are moms, stepmoms, grandmothers, and guardians of those who have served or are currently serving in our Armed Forces. These selfless ladies support each other, care for our troops and veterans,” (November 13, 2025).
Senator Paxton was elected to represent Texas’s 8th Senate district after succeeding Van Taylor in 2019.
