Frisco ISD has recognized Julie Brown of Fowler Middle School and Kemmey Morris Griffin of the Natatorium with the Standing Ovation Awards for August. Each month, the district honors non-teaching staff members nominated by their peers for exemplifying the district’s mission.

Julie Brown, assistant principal secretary at Fowler Middle School, has served the Fowler community for over 17 years. She began her career as a teacher and now plays a crucial role in the front office. Her responsibilities include supporting students and teachers, resolving technology issues, improving communication, and assisting with various tasks. Brown is known for her dedication to student success, particularly through her work with those in in-school suspension.

Kemmey Morris Griffin serves as the athletics pool technician for Frisco ISD. His duties include maintaining and organizing equipment at the Natatorium. He is noted for his proactive approach that extends the lifespan of equipment and ensures smooth operations during events. His organizational skills allow staff to easily access necessary items.

Both honorees were acknowledged by Superintendent Dr. Mike Waldrip during a visit and will be celebrated at a special event in spring.
