City of Lavon issued the following announcement on April 28.

 At Governor Abbott’s press conference today, the Governor issued a new Executive Order that details Phase One of opening Texas businesses. In summary, as of May 1st, all retail restaurants, movie theaters, and malls can open as long as they maintain no more than 25% occupancy. Sole proprietors can now return to work. Sports can resume with 4 or less participants. All licensed healthcare professionals can return to work, including doctors, nurses, and dentists. Bars, gyms, and salons must remain closed at this time. The Governor’s order supersedes ALL local orders. For a full review of Phase One, please visit gov.texas.gov/opentexas.
