PLANO – Plans have been filed to upgrade the Marriott Hotel, already considered a four-star hotel with 356 rooms near Dallas.

Located in “The Shops at Legacy,” which offer high-end shopping and dining, on-site amenities include a complimentary shuttle within 3-mile radius. A report in Community Impact Newspaper said the nearly $2 million upgrade will renovate the interior of the hotel and could begin as early as this July.

“The project is expected to take roughly three months to complete, according to documents filed with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation,” the report said. “Related costs will cover interior design and architectural services as well as the installation of new finishes in the hotel’s various meeting spaces.”

The property was purchased in 2017 by Roch Capital, a Pennsylvania-based investment firm, for a reported $104 million. The company specializes in hotels, office buildings and multi-family developments, its website states.
