Collin County ranked first among counties in Texas by annual earnings per resident, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The median income of Collin County residents was $45,254 per year, adjusted for inflation. It had 331,336 households with a population of 944,350.

The county with the lowest median resident income in the state was Starr County with $13,459 per year after adjusting for inflation – $31,795 less than Collin County. It had 16,238 households with a population of 63,894.
