4.2% of citizens unemployed in Collin County in 2021

Collin County recorded an unemployment rate of 4.2% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 24,045 people out of the 1,039,812 living in Collin County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Collin County has increased compared to the 4% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Collin County was less than the statewide unemployment rate of 5.3%.

Of the 541,866 people who had a job during that time, 407 were employed in the Armed Forces and 541,459 belonged to the civilian labor force.
