[McKinney, Texas] – Collin County has announced the appointment of Leticia Gibbs as the new Director of the Community Supervision and Corrections Department (CSCD). Mrs. Gibbs was unanimously selected by Collin County judges and brings nearly four decades of service and extensive experience to her new role.
“I am profoundly grateful for the opportunity to continue serving the Collin County CSCD in my new capacity and am committed to making a positive impact on the department and Collin County as a whole,” Mrs. Gibbs expressed.
Mrs. Gibbs holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Sam Houston State University. She began her career at Collin County CSCD as a trainee, advancing through roles such as Supervision Officer, Supervisor, Unit Supervisor, and Deputy Director. Her journey reflects her commitment to public service and leadership within the department.
Throughout her career, Mrs. Gibbs has been instrumental in shaping the department’s success. Her understanding of the corrections system and dedication to fostering a positive environment have earned her respect among colleagues and the community.
Her marriage to Gregg Gibbs extends 40 years. They have three adult-aged children. Mrs. Gibbs often jokes that she told Gregg on or before their wedding day that she doesn’t believe in divorce—only in burial—and he claims to have been on probation ever since.
