Farmersville ISD schools Education: 3 Pacific Islander students were enrolled in schools in 2022-23 school year

There were three Pacific Islander students enrolled in Farmersville ISD schools in the 2022-23 school year, 200% more than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Data showed that Farmersville ISD schools welcomed 2,115 students during the 2022-23 school year. Among them, Pacific Islander students comprised 0.1% of the student body to be one of the least represented ethnicities in the district.

Farmersville ISD roughly covers schools within Collin County and has a main office in Farmersville.

Tatum Elementary School was the only school in the district which enrolled Pacific Islander students, welcoming three students in the 2022-23 school year.

Texas is found to be one of the least-educated states in the U.S. A study from WalletHub ranked Texas 41st out of 50 states in terms of the quality of the educational system and how successful students were.

More than 5.4 million students are enrolled in public schools across Texas. Nearly one million of them live in rural areas where options for local public schools are few and far between.
