Frisco volleyball teams advance to regional semifinals

Three volleyball teams from Frisco Independent School District have advanced to the regional semifinals in the UIL playoffs. Panther Creek, Reedy, and Wakeland are progressing under a new format that awards two state champions in each class.

Reedy is competing in Class 5A Division I, Wakeland in 5A Division II, and Panther Creek in 4A Division I. The matches are scheduled for Tuesday, November 12.

Reedy will face Lake Belton at Hillsboro High School at 5:30 p.m., with cash-only ticket sales. Wakeland is set to play against Mesquite Poteet at Plano Senior High School at 6:30 p.m., with tickets available through Plano ISD. Meanwhile, Panther Creek will take on Caddo Mills at McKinney Boyd High School also at 6:30 p.m., following McKinney ISD's bag policy with tickets available through McKinney ISD.
