Schools in the Frisco Independent School District (Frisco ISD) remain closed for winter break, but the district's soccer teams are gearing up for competition. The annual Dr. Pink Soccer Showcase is set to take place from January 2 to January 4.
The event will host boys and girls soccer teams from across Texas at the Toyota Stadium Soccer Center in Frisco. Nearly 100 matches are scheduled, beginning at noon on Thursday, January 2.
The showcase continues a tradition of success for Frisco ISD's soccer teams. Over the past eight seasons, they have claimed eight state titles. Last year saw the Wakeland girls secure the 5A state title while their male counterparts finished as runners-up. In 2023, Lone Star boys won the 5A state title and Frisco High girls were runners-up.
