Representative Keith Self of Texas' 3rd congressional district, serving since 2023, recently shared several posts via social media discussing legislative measures and political opinions. Self, 70, hails from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and resides in McKinney. His focus in these posts centers around election integrity and public health initiatives.

On April 10, 2025, Self commented on legislative progress by stating, "Today @HouseGOP passed the SAVE Act. This legislation requires proof of U.S. citizenship for voter registration and requires states to remove non-citizens from existing voter rolls. A HUGE win for election integrity!" The legislation in question aims to address concerns over voter registration and integrity by mandating citizenship proof.

In a post dated April 11, 2025, Self expressed gratitude to an administrative leader noting, "Thank you for your leadership, @SecKennedy. I’m with you in the fight to Make America Healthy Again! My FIZZ-NO bill would eliminate carbonated beverages from SNAP eligibility. We must put a stop to taxpayer dollars subsidizing obesity in America." This initiative seeks to reshape nutritional assistance programs by excluding certain beverages.

On the same day, Self reflected critically on a recent vote, "Friendly reminder that 208 House Democrats betrayed the American people yesterday and put illegal aliens first by opposing the SAVE Act. Unacceptable. The @HouseGOP is working to ensure that US citizens come first and that illegal aliens don’t vote in federal elections. " Self contended that these opposition votes misalign with voter priorities on election participation.

Keith Self's tenure in Congress, following his replacement of Van Taylor, continues to be marked by advocacy on issues pertaining to governance and public welfare.
