Heritage, Liberty, and Wakeland secure district track and field titles

Frisco ISD student-athletes have demonstrated their prowess at recent district track and field meets. The meets, which took place over the last two weeks, concluded with team victories for Heritage, Liberty, and Wakeland High Schools.

Heritage High School emerged as the district champion for the 11-5A boys category. Emerson High School followed in second place with Lebanon Trail, Centennial, and Memorial rounding out the top five. In the girls' competition for 11-5A, Liberty High School clinched the top spot. Emerson, Memorial, Heritage, and Lebanon Trail completed the list of leading teams.

In the 12-5A boys’ competition, Wakeland High School took the championship title among top teams such as Newman Smith, Highland Park, Lone Star, and Reedy. Highland Park led in the 12-5A girls' category with Wakeland and Newman Smith earning the second and third places.

Additional notable performances were highlighted for Panther Creek, which placed second in the girls' and fourth in the boys' events.
