Wakeland and Heritage soccer teams move forward to regional semifinals

Three Frisco ISD soccer teams are advancing to the regional semifinals of the UIL state soccer playoffs. The Heritage boys (5A Division I) defeated McKinney North 1-0, while the Wakeland boys secured a 3-1 victory over Jacksonville. Wakeland girls, competing in the 5A Division II category, also overcame Jacksonville with a 3-2 win.

These teams will compete in the regional semifinal round scheduled for Friday night, March 28. Wakeland boys will face Belton at Lumpkins Stadium in Waxahachie at 6:30 p.m., and Wakeland girls are set to play against Mesquite Poteet at Eagle-Mustang Stadium in Richardson at 7:30 p.m. Meanwhile, the Heritage boys will take on North Mesquite at Mesquite ISD Memorial Stadium at 8 p.m.

The Frisco ISD soccer teams are striving for a place in the state championship games slated for Friday, April 11, in Georgetown. The UIL state playoff brackets are available for further details.
