Frisco ISD golfers have recently achieved notable success in District 11-5A, 12-5A, and 9-4A competitions. Titles were secured by the Centennial girls, Independence boys, and Panther Creek girls teams. Many golfers also earned individual medals during these events.
Independence High School stood out with a team score of 650, followed by Emerson with 666 and Memorial with 669. Noah Wilkinson of Independence was the top individual performer with a score of 155.
In another competition, the Centennial team finished first, achieving a score of 657. Lisa Zhang from Centennial marked a significant personal victory by winning in a playoff. Her final score of 149 tied with Anika Singh from Independence.
Wakeland High School had a strong showing with Luke Colton achieving a score of 137, ranking as the second-best individual performance.
Meanwhile, Panther Creek excelled with a top score of 644, where Grace Cronin, Kingston Burke, and Gabby Olewe led individually.
Frisco ISD golfers are now set to participate in the upcoming regional golf tournaments scheduled from April 14-17.
