It’s time for the regional finals in soccer, and two Frisco ISD teams will play for spots in the state semifinals on Tuesday night. The Wakeland girls' soccer team and the Heritage boys' soccer team are both competing in the finals in their respective divisions.

In the 5A Division II girls' bracket, the defending state champion Wakeland team will face Lovejoy in the Region 2 final. Their match will take place at Melissa ISD’s Kenny Deel Stadium at 7 p.m. Wakeland reached this stage after beating Belton 3-1 in the regional semifinals.

For the 5A Division I boys' bracket, Heritage will play against Prosper Walnut Grove. Their match is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. at Denton Braswell High School's Carrico Stadium. Heritage advanced by defeating North Mesquite 1-0 in their regional semifinal match.

Both teams are vying for a chance to compete in the state championship games scheduled for Friday, April 11.
