Collin County has announced the appointment of Brigadier General John "Mike" Wallace to its Planning Board. Wallace, a seasoned business executive and military leader, brings over 26 years of experience in business development, investment banking, securities investments, and retirement planning. He also has extensive leadership experience in the Texas Army National Guard.
In his professional life, Wallace is the National Sales Director and Owner of 401 Plans, a leading provider of retirement solutions. His leadership has been crucial in offering comprehensive retirement planning services to businesses and employees across the nation. Under his guidance, 401 Plans has crafted tailored retirement solutions for numerous clients.
Wallace's military career is equally distinguished. As a Brigadier General in the Texas Army National Guard with over 33 years of experience, he currently serves as the Assistant Division Commander of the 36th Infantry Division. His past roles include commanding the 56th Infantry Brigade Combat Team with deployments to Kuwait, Iraq, and Afghanistan.
Wallace expressed his enthusiasm about joining the Collin County Planning Board: "I am honored to serve on the Collin County Planning Board," he said. "This is a unique opportunity to bring my experience in both business and military leadership to bear on issues that directly impact our community."

Wallace holds a Bachelor of Science degree from West Point and a Master of Strategic Studies from the U.S. Army War College. His military education includes prestigious programs such as Ranger School and Command and General Staff College.
A resident of Allen, TX for more than two decades, Wallace lives with his wife Debbie and their three sons. His dedication to public service makes him an asset to the Collin County Planning Board.
