The area round of the softball playoffs is set to begin, featuring teams from Lone Star, Wakeland, and Reedy in Class 5A, as well as Panther Creek in Class 4A. These teams are competing for a place in the third round, known as the regional quarterfinals. The games will start on Thursday, May 2.
Schedules and ticket information have been provided. However, due to unsettled weather conditions this week, there may be changes to some dates and times. Updates will be available through official channels.
The schedule is as follows:
- Game 1: Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at Richland High School
- Game 2: Friday at 6 p.m. at Richland High School
- Game 3 (if necessary): Will take place 30 minutes after the completion of Game 2
Tickets for these games will be available for cash purchase only at the gate.
Additional games include:
- Game 1: Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at Carrollton R.L. Turner
- Game 2: Friday at 6:30 p.m. at Carrollton R.L. Turner
- Game 3 (if necessary): Saturday at 1 p.m. at Carrollton R.L. Turner
Another series includes:
- Game 1: Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at Carrollton Creekview
- Game 2: Friday at 5 p.m. at Carrollton Creekview
- Game 3 (if necessary): Will take place 30 minutes after the end of Game 2
Additionally, a game is scheduled for Friday at Plano East High School starting at 6 p.m., with tickets available.
