Wakeland and Reedy high school volleyball teams are advancing to the regional finals in the current season. Both teams will not face each other due to the University Interscholastic League's (UIL) new playoff format, which allows for two state champions in each classification. This setup provides an opportunity for both Frisco ISD teams to potentially secure state titles.

Reedy High School competes in the Class 5A Division I bracket, while Wakeland High School is in the 5A Division II bracket. During the regional semifinals, Reedy defeated Lake Belton, and Wakeland triumphed over Mesquite Poteet. Each team is now two victories away from participating in a state title match scheduled for Saturday, November 23 at the Curtis Culwell Center located in Garland.

The upcoming matches are as follows:

- Reedy will compete against McKinney North at 6:30 p.m. on Friday at Flower Mound Marcus High School.

- Wakeland will face Lovejoy at 6:30 p.m. on Friday at Hebron High School.

Tickets for these matches can be purchased through LISD Tickets with prices set at $10 for adults and $5 for students.
