Frisco ISD football teams move to area playoffs after first-round victories

Four football teams from Frisco Independent School District (FISD) are advancing to the area round of the playoffs this week. The teams competing include Lone Star, Reedy, and Wakeland in the Class 5A Division I bracket, as well as Panther Creek in the 4A Division I bracket.

In their previous games, all four teams secured significant victories. Lone Star defeated Dallas W.T. White with a score of 59-7. Reedy won against Carrollton Creekview 55-16. Wakeland triumphed over Carrollton Newman Smith with a score of 42-7. Panther Creek emerged victorious against Dallas Pinkston with a score of 49-14.

The competition is expected to intensify as these teams aim for spots in the regional semifinals.

Panther Creek will face Alvarado at 7 p.m. on Thursday at Ford Center. Tickets can be purchased through tickets.friscoisd.org.

Lone Star will play against Red Oak at 7 p.m. on Friday at Ford Center, with tickets available at tickets.friscoisd.org.

Reedy is set to compete against Georgetown at Corsicana’s Tiger Stadium on Friday at 7 p.m., and tickets can be acquired through Corsicana ISD.

Wakeland will meet Highland Park at Murphy’s Kimbrough Stadium on Friday at 7 p.m., with tickets available via Plano ISD.
