The City of McKinney, Texas, plans to conduct mosquito control spraying in two areas following a positive test for West Nile Virus in a mosquito pool. The spraying is scheduled between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m., depending on weather conditions, and will cover a one-mile radius around the location of the positive test.

Spraying will occur on Thursday, September 19, at 2321 Lacebark Lane and Friday, September 20, at 301 Peregrine Drive. Signs will be placed at major intersections to inform residents about the activity. Additionally, details and maps of the spray area can be found on the city's website at McKinneyTexas.org/MosquitoControl.

Residents within the designated spray zones are encouraged to remain indoors during these hours and bring pets inside for safety. Those who prefer not to have their homes sprayed can contact City of McKinney Health Compliance at 972-547-7447.
