Keith Self named chairman of subcommittee on Europe

Congressman Keith Self has been appointed as the Chairman of the Subcommittee on Europe. This appointment was announced by House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Brian Mast.

In his statement, Congressman Self highlighted the significance of the committee's role in the 119th Congress. He stated, "The task at hand for the Foreign Affairs Committee in the 119th Congress will be vitally important as we work to re-establish American global credibility and America First priorities alongside the Trump Administration." He emphasized his military background, mentioning his service in U.S. European Command and NATO Military Headquarters in Belgium. Self added, "As Chairman, I will help restore the communication lines between the U.S. and our European allies to combat the axis of evil—Russia, China, and Iran—which have all spread their malign influence under the Biden-Harris administration." He concluded by expressing his commitment to advancing President Trump's agenda under Chairman Mast’s leadership.

Chairman Brian Mast expressed his confidence in Self's leadership by stating, "I look forward to working closely with Keith as he leads our Subcommittee on Europe." Mast acknowledged Self's military experience and its importance in reforming foreign policy. He noted, "As a decorated veteran, Keith has seen the far-reaching implications U.S. foreign policy decisions first-hand. His experience will be vital in reforming the State Department to ensure that every dollar and every diplomat puts America First."
