Washington, D.C.- Congressman Keith Self hosted a reception on Sunday May 21, in Allen, Texas where he extended his heartfelt congratulations to 26 exceptional students from the Third Congressional District of Texas who have received appointments to all four military academies.
"The path to the Service Academies demands resolve and perseverance, and I have complete faith in these students' ability to rise to the challenge,” Congressman Keith Self said. “They embody the sense of duty necessary to safeguard the liberties we cherish, and it gives me immense pride to have them represent the Third District of Texas."
Congressman Self is a retired Lieutenant Colonel and West Point graduate with 25 years of service in the U.S. Army. He understands firsthand the challenges awaiting this crop of cadets who will one day rise to lead America’s military.
