Congressman Keith Self will be hosting the Congressional Veteran Commendation Ceremony on November 10th to honor exceptional veterans in Texas' Third Congressional District. The ceremony will be held at the Plano Flags of Honor Field in Plano, Texas.
Congressman Self, who served in the U.S. Army for 25 years, expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to recognize veterans, stating, "During my years of service, I had the privilege of serving alongside some of the finest men and women our nation has ever known. Giving proper recognition to American heroes helps us understand the sacrifices that have been made to protect our God-given freedoms which are preserved in the Constitution."
The Congressional Veteran Commendation is a nationwide program that aims to acknowledge the military and community service of veterans. The honorees are individuals who have served in the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Space Force, and Coast Guard.
The ceremony will take place from 1:00pm to 3:00pm at the Plano Flags of Honor Field, located at 2801 E. Spring Creek Pkwy, Plano, TX 75074. It is an opportunity for the community to come together and show their appreciation for the sacrifices made by these veterans.
