Rep. Keith Self questions Democrats' actions amid government shutdown concerns

Rep. Keith Self, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Texas' 3rd district since 2023, recently shared his thoughts on various political and social issues through a series of tweets. Self succeeded Van Taylor in Congress and resides in McKinney, Texas.

On March 10, 2025, Rep. Self expressed solidarity with Christians in Syria by stating: "Amen. Praying for our Christian brothers and sisters in Syria."

The following day, on March 11, 2025, he questioned the Democratic Party's stance on government operations by asking: "Will Democrats vote to shut down the government today?"

Later that day, Rep. Self criticized the Democratic Party's leadership and policies in another tweet: "Deranged Democrats have no vision, no plan, no leader, and are trying to bring the amazing work of President Trump to a grinding halt. The @HouseGOP CR will ensure that President Trump can continue to identify waste, fraud, and abuse of our tax dollars and deport criminal…"
