Boys basketball players from Frisco ISD have received recognition for their performance in the All-District teams across districts 11-5A, 12-5A, and 9-4A. The selections were made by coaches within each district.
For District 11-5A, Cameron Lomax of Heritage was named MVP. Caden Deffebaugh from Memorial was recognized as the Offensive Player of the Year, while Alex Aluga from Liberty earned Defensive Player of the Year honors. Dylan Steffe from Memorial and Christian Williams from Frisco were named Newcomers of the Year. The Coaching Staff of the Year award went to Heritage.
The first team included Bryson Howard and Mikhail Patel from Heritage, Chebe Uwakwe from Centennial, James Sanderson from Emerson, Christian Cox from Independence, and Gilbert Aluga from Liberty. Second-team honors went to Xander Pruzinsky and Lucas Paton from Memorial, Elijah York from Emerson, Brandon Stephens and Toshiro Mahtani from Liberty, Sid Barla from Frisco, Kylan Wade from Independence, and Devo Boley from Centennial.
The All-Defensive Team featured Sachin Keshaav (Memorial), Joaquin Gibson (Lebanon Trail), Ian Williams (Liberty), Blake Russo (Independence), Trystan Young (Centennial), Garrett Shelton (Heritage), Luke Stoehner (Emerson), and Lucas Marrero (Frisco).
In District 12-5A, Dakari Spear of The Colony was awarded MVP. Offensive MVPs were Josh Weems of Lone Star and Henry Beckett of Highland Park. Bryce Dixon of The Colony received Defensive MVP recognition. Newcomers Josh Johnson of Reedy and Trey Wright of Lone Star were also honored. The Coaching Staff award went to The Colony.
Xavier Green (The Colony), Jacob Ariyo (Highland Park), Jackson Ford (Reedy), Cedric Thornton (Wakeland), Quincy Baker (Lone Star), and Colin Noble (Highland Park) were selected for the first team. Second-team honorees included Matt Lastre (Wakeland), Bryant Robinson (Lone Star), Will Saunders (Highland Park), Thor Grissom (The Colony), MD Awe (Reedy), Jonovan Woods (Newman Smith), and Jordan Johnson (Wakeland).
All-Defensive Team selections consisted of Sahil Anand (RL Turner), Daniel Ford (Creekview), Adrian Johnson (Newman Smith), Aaron Tchwanto (The Colony), Kellan Cantrell (Highland Park), Yohan Choi (Reedy), Lucas Mangham (Wakeland) and Lawrence Ambe(Lone Star).
Panther Creek's Sabien McGraw was named District MVP with Sentel Simpson receiving Defensive Player of the Year accolades. Rodney Wagner was recognized as Sixth Man of the Year while Panther Creek’s coaching staff was honored as Coaching Staff of the Year.
First team members Xavier Rainwater and Jaelen Block-Hill represented Panther Creek alongside second-teamer RJ Whitehead. On the All-Defensive Team was Timi Adebanjo.
