The City of McKinney will conduct mosquito control spraying after a mosquito pool tested positive for West Nile Virus. The spraying is scheduled to begin at 10 p.m. on Friday, June 28, weather permitting. The designated spray area is east of Custer Road, west of Ridge Road, south of Owl Creek Lane, and north of Chickasaw Trail.

Signs will be placed at major intersections to inform residents about the spraying activity. Additional information and a map of the spray area will be available on the city’s website at McKinneyTexas.org/MosquitoControl.

Residents in the affected area are advised to stay indoors during the spraying period and bring their pets inside that evening. Those who do not wish to have their homes sprayed should contact City of McKinney Health Compliance at 972-547-7447.
