Celina ISD Education: 3,897 students were enrolled in schools in 2022-23 school year

There were 3,897 students enrolled in Celina ISD schools in the 2022-23 school year, 16% more than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 51.2% of them were boys, and 48.8% were girls.

Data also shows that the majority of students were white, representing 56.3% of the Celina ISD total enrollment.

Celina ISD roughly covers schools within Collin County with its main office in Celina.

Among the six schools in Celina ISD, Celina High School recorded the highest enrollment of 1,074 students in the 2022-23 school year.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
