Wakeland boys secure third place at state cross country meet

The Wakeland High School boys cross country team secured a third-place finish at the UIL State Cross Country Meet held on November 2. The event showcased the talents of runners from Frisco Independent School District (Frisco ISD).

In Class 5A, the Wakeland boys' team earned a spot on the medal stand, while the girls' team finished in sixth place. Additionally, Reedy High School's girls' team achieved a 15th-place finish at the competition in Round Rock.

Andrew Malan from Lebanon Trail High School emerged as the top individual performer for Frisco ISD, finishing 12th in the boys' race. Presley Robertson from Wakeland also delivered a notable performance, securing 14th place in the girls' race.

Frisco ISD extended its congratulations to all participating runners from the district.
