Rep. Keith Self, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Texas' 3rd district, shared his views and political intentions through a series of tweets recently. These tweets touch on various subjects, including welcoming new figures to Washington, concerns about military focus, and fiscal policies.

On December 5, 2024, Rep. Self extended a welcome to Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy via Twitter: "Welcome to the Swamp @ElonMusk and @VivekGRamaswamy! Looking forward to working with you both."

The following day, December 6, 2024, he expressed his stance on military priorities by stating: "We need warriors in DOD like @PeteHegseth, who will focus on lethality not LBGTQ ideology. Part of my responsibility as a Representative is nominating young men and women to the U.S. Service Academies. I have firsthand knowledge that the woke mind virus has spread to these…"

Later that same day, Rep. Self voiced his opposition to a proposed financial measure: "Congress must not pass a year-long Continuing Resolution. I won’t support a spending package that ties President Trump’s hands for the first year of his administration as the national debt continues to snowball."
