The City of McKinney has announced plans to conduct mosquito spraying in three areas from July 15 to July 17. This decision follows the detection of West Nile Virus in local mosquito pools.

Spraying is scheduled to begin at 10 p.m. each night, covering a one-mile radius around the location where the virus was found. The specific addresses are as follows:

- Monday, July 15: 4269 W. Eldorado Parkway

- Tuesday, July 16: 2001 S. Central Expressway

- Wednesday, July 17: 6800 Bountiful Grove Road

To keep residents informed, signs will be placed at major intersections within these areas. Additionally, detailed information and maps regarding the spray zones will be available on the city's website at McKinneyTexas.org/MosquitoControl.

Residents living in these areas are encouraged to remain indoors during the spraying period and ensure their pets are brought inside for safety. Those who prefer not to have spraying near their homes can reach out to City of McKinney Health Compliance at 972-547-7447.
