The City of McKinney will conduct mosquito control spraying in two areas after a mosquito pool tested positive for West Nile Virus. The spraying is scheduled to begin at 10 p.m., contingent on weather conditions, and will cover a one-mile radius around the identified locations.

The first area to be sprayed is around 3433 Beaver Creek Lane on Monday, July 29. The second location, 920 Laredo Court, will be sprayed on Tuesday, July 30.

To inform residents about the spraying activity, signs will be placed at major intersections. Additional information and a map of the spray area can be found on the city’s website at McKinneyTexas.org/MosquitoControl.

Residents living in the designated spray areas are advised to remain indoors during the operation and bring their pets inside for safety. Those who prefer not to have their homes included in the spraying should contact City of McKinney Health Compliance at 972-547-7447.
