Residents of McKinney, Texas, have the opportunity to receive updates on the redevelopment plans for city-owned properties in downtown McKinney. M2G Ventures, the city's chosen development partner, will share their updated proposals during two public meetings.
The first meeting is a City Council Work Session scheduled for 3 p.m. on Tuesday, July 23 at City Hall. During this session, M2G Ventures will present its revised development proposal and seek consensus from the City Council regarding programming plans such as land uses, locations, density, and building heights.
A second Public Information Presentation will take place from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Monday, July 29 at City Hall. This session will include a 30-minute presentation by M2G Ventures followed by a question-and-answer period with the public for approximately 30 minutes. The information presented here will mirror that shared at the earlier work session.
As part of ongoing developments in McKinney, a new City Hall is under construction at Throckmorton and Virginia streets in Downtown McKinney and is expected to open in early 2025. Upon completion, many city-owned facilities including the Development Services building and current City Hall will be vacated.
In January, M2G Ventures was selected by the City Council as the preferred team for redeveloping these city-owned properties. The company has previous development experience in Fort Worth, Dallas, and Austin.
