The McKinney Community Development Corporation (MCDC) has awarded a second round of promotional grants in 2024, totaling $110,050. These funds are designated for advertising and promoting events in McKinney, Texas, aimed at bolstering business development and tourism. MCDC continues to demonstrate its dedication to improving the quality of life for both residents and visitors of McKinney.
Each year, MCDC awards Promotional and Community Event Grants to support advertising and marketing efforts that highlight the community's events. The process involves grant application submissions, followed by presentations from applicants detailing the potential impact of their proposed programs on the local area.
Angela Richardson-Woods, Chair of the MCDC Board, stated, "The awarded grants will provide advertising and marketing resources for organizations to bring their events to life and make a positive difference in McKinney. MCDC’s collaboration with nonprofits and event planners contributes to the vitality and economic growth of the city."

- Adriatica Business Association for community events at Adriatica Village
- Art Club of McKinney for various art shows
- Collin County Master Gardeners for garden-related events
- Heritage Guild of Collin County for Chestnut Square activities
- McKinney Chamber Foundation for Black History Month events
- McKinney Chamber Foundation for Dia de los Muertos at Mitchell Park
- McKinney Main Street for Oktoberfest
- McKinney Public Library Foundation for cultural events at libraries
- McKinney Repertory Theatre for 2024-2025 performances
- Rotary Club of McKinney for Parade of Lights in Downtown McKinney
- SBG Hospitality for Wine & Music Festival at District 121
- Texas Women Society for Lunar Harvest at Mitchell Park
- The Warrior's Keep for an annual Veterans Day event at TUPPS Brewery
- Young Actors Guild for 2024-2025 performances
