Congressman Keith Self, alongside Congressmen Josh Brecheen and Eli Crane, has addressed a letter to Senate Majority Leader Thune and House Speaker Johnson. The letter calls for the Republican leadership to focus on spending reductions as they consider government funding for Fiscal Year 2026.

“With united government under Republican leadership, the 119th Congress has the responsibility to deliver conservative wins for America,” Congressman Keith Self stated. He emphasized the need for Congress to support the Executive Branch in efforts to cut waste, enhance efficiency, and reduce the size of what he described as a "bloated federal government." He further noted that "the U.S. national debt is an existential threat to our Republic," stressing the urgency of changing its trajectory.
