Rep. Keith Self, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Texas' 3rd district, shared his thoughts on recent events through a series of tweets. Self replaced Van Taylor in 2023 and has been active in expressing his views on various topics.

On March 5, 2025, Rep. Keith Self tweeted about an emotional moment involving DJ and Secret Service Director Sean Curran. He described the scene as one where "there wasn't a dry eye among Republicans" when DJ shared a hug with Curran. However, he criticized Democrats for not showing any emotion or acknowledgment, stating it was "shameful." "Last night, there wasn't a dry eye among Republicans as DJ shared a heartfelt hug with Secret Service Director Sean Curran."

The following day, March 6, 2025, Self commemorated the historical event of the Alamo's fall in 1836. He highlighted the sacrifice of approximately 200 defenders who died fighting for Texas' independence and expressed his intention to remember them. "On March 6, 1836, Santa Anna ordered Mexican troops to storm the Alamo, ending a 13-day siege."

Later that day, Self mentioned attending the first House Foreign Affairs Committee Europe Subcommittee hearing of the 119th Congress. The hearing titled “Bridging the Gap: Turkey Between East and West” aimed to examine Turkey’s role in NATO. "Yesterday marked the first @HouseForeignGOP Europe Subcommittee hearing in the 119th Congress."
