Unofficial Election Results for McKinney Bond Election

McKINNEY, Texas (May 6, 2024) – Today, McKinney residents participated in the general election to decide on five general obligation bond propositions. According to the unofficial election results from the Collin County Election Administrator, voters in McKinney approved four out of the five propositions, amounting to a total bond package of approximately $485.5 million in funding.

Proposition A, which called for $106,000,000 for parks and recreation improvements, received approval from the voters. On the other hand, Proposition B, seeking $36,000,000 for a municipal courts facility, did not pass.

The community showed support for Proposition C, which aimed at $30,000,000 for public works south campus improvements, and Proposition D, allocating $70,000,000 for public safety facilities. Additionally, Proposition E, which focused on $243,500,000 for street improvements, also received a positive response from the voters.

The Early Voting Ballot Board is set to handle Election Day provisional ballots and late overseas ballots on May 13. The City of McKinney will officially certify the election results on May 14.
