After more than 25 years of service, Bill Bilyeu has announced his retirement as Collin County Administrator, effective July 5, 2024. During his tenure, Bilyeu played a crucial role in guiding the county through significant growth while ensuring stability and efficiency.
"I am immensely proud of the talented team I've had the honor to work with over the years," Mr. Bilyeu expressed in a letter to the Commissioners Court. "Their commitment to upholding the highest levels of integrity in service to our community gives me great confidence Collin County's future remains in good hands."
The Commissioners Court is set to begin selecting a successor who will continue Bilyeu's legacy of leadership. Candidates for the position must have management experience leading diverse teams, preferably within federal, state, or local government agencies. Additionally, they should possess strong knowledge of financial and economic concepts, planning, government operations, vertical construction, transportation, and organizational management.
