Frisco ISD baseball teams advance to playoff rounds

Congratulations are in order for the seven Frisco ISD baseball teams that have advanced to the playoffs. The first round, known as the bi-district matchups, will consist of best-of-three series scheduled from Thursday, May 2, to Saturday, May 4.

The schedule for these games is as follows:

- Game 1 will take place at 7 p.m. on Thursday at Memorial High School.

- Game 2 is set for 7 p.m. on Friday at Reedy High School.

- If a third game is necessary, it will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday at Panther Creek High School.

For another matchup:

- Game 1 starts at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday at Centennial High School.

- Game 2 follows at 7:30 p.m. on Friday at Smotherman Field (Frisco home field).

- A potential Game 3 is scheduled for 1 p.m. on Saturday at Reedy High School.

In a separate series:

- Both Games 1 and 2 will occur at Independence High School with start times of 7 p.m., respectively on Wednesday and Friday.

- Should a third game be needed, it will also be hosted by Independence High School on Saturday at 1 p.m.

Finally:

- Another set of games begins with Game 1 starting at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday and continues with Game 2 also beginning at the same time on Friday; both games are located at Prosper Rock Hill High School.

- If required, Game 3 will take place on Saturday noon back again at Rock Hill High School.
