The City of McKinney will conduct mosquito control spraying in two areas after a mosquito pool tested positive for the West Nile Virus. The scheduled spraying is set to take place between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m., depending on weather conditions, covering a one-mile radius around the locations where the virus was detected.

Spraying will occur on Tuesday, September 24 at 2608 Valley Creek Trail and on Wednesday, September 25 at 920 Laredo Court. To inform residents, signs will be placed at major intersections, and further details along with a map of the spray area can be found on the city's website at McKinneyTexas.org/MosquitoControl.

Residents within these areas are advised to remain indoors during the spraying period and bring their pets inside for safety. Those who prefer not to have spraying near their homes are encouraged to contact City of McKinney Health Compliance at 972-547-7447.
